tomorrow i start classroom rotation for lunch. essentially, for those who have not watched j-dramas or animes that take place in a school setting (a middle school setting to be precise, high school is different), lunch time is a big communal thing where everyone has the same school lunch. lunch is cooked in a central school lunch centre (the whole of tomioka has the same lunch) then sent out. each class collects their tub(s) of food, and bring it to class where it is distributed on trays to everyone, and everyone sits to eat it together. previously, i had always eaten lunch in the staffroom, but i’ve decided that i want to talk to the kids during break, so i talked to ishii-sensei and she said it would be no problem. so tomorrow i start with 3-1, then go through the rest of the sannensei classes (mr. m. is in 3-4), then year 2s (which i’m not really looking forward to. many of them fancy themselves the young upstarts to the leaving sannensei, but they’re not as cool/charming/cute), then year 1s (whom i love).
so i was cooking gyudon tonight, and i was just musing about various stuff about prayer and my colleagues, and the christmas party that my church was organising, and i was suddenly struck by the thought of praying for my colleagues– which was slowly refined into praying for a colleague a day, which was in turn refined to– i’ll pray for the homeroom teacher and the class i eat lunch with each day. :) just dedicate my prayer time to them; it would give my prayer time some structure as well.
tomorrow is also the day i resurrect my project 365– which i have a very valid reason for letting it go stagnant– my camera SUICIDED in japan, and i only just had the money to buy a replacement this month (am earning own income = not using mommy and daddy’s supplementary card). so i am now the owner of a lovely canon ixy 910 and am armed and ready to do my P365. :D prepare for lunch time shots (and possibly the real face of mr. m…?)
